Ozark Mountain Butter Beer Review

One of the better Butter Beer imitators I’ve tried, with a nice, smooth butterscotch flavor. It doesn’t get too cloying and it would go well with a burger or a spicy meal.

Would I buy it again? Yes

Scotty’s Butterscotch Soda Review

Like all of Rocket Fizz’s atypical sodas, this tastes like the thing it says it is. I might prefer my butterscotch soda with a bit more of a root beer mix, but if one was in the mood for some straight-up butterscotch, you could do a lot worse.

Would I buy it again? Probably

Abita Pecan Pie Soda Review

This has a pretty similar flavor profile to the other “butterscotch”-esque drinks I’ve had recently, but with a slightly more smoky, savory cast to it. Maybe that’s the pecans? I love pecan pie — and have sometimes been known to bake a pecan pie — and, blindfolded, I wouldn’t know this was a pecan pie soda. But it’s a nice attempt and not at all gross.

Would I buy it again? Well, they only sold it in six-packs, so ask me again in five sodas. I guess I’d probably buy Swamp Pop Praline Cream instead if I was shopping for a butterscotch-style drink.

Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer Review

I actually have bought this one on two other occasions, so I assumed it would be easy to recommend, but drinking it again so shortly after Swamp Pop Praline Cream Soda it doesn’t hold up. It is a butterscotch soda, so that’s a plus, but now I’m noticing an overly-sweet syrupy flavor that hangs around way too long after each drink.

Would I buy it again? Very sadly, no
